šThe Selfie Museum, Create a Shopping Party, and Skip the Dropshipped Stuff
Get the real goods!
Hey everyone. Hope youāre doing well this week!
Iāve got some good news for you . . .
Weāre having a boy! :) Itās so exciting!
We just found out last week. Woohoo!
Oh - and another thing. If you watch Mandalorian - That was QUITE the epic episode last Friday wasnāt it? If you donāt watch it - I recommend doing so. Itās so good!
Well, letās hop on in to todayās topics shall we?
šøThe Selfie Museum
Remember when I talked about that experimental museum designed for taking epic photos? Check it out here if you need a refresher.
Well, it appears that people are monetizing the idea. Why not create a space designed solely for taking great IG photos / creating TikToks?
Itās a brilliant idea, and not one that I see going away any time soon. People go to a lot of work creating special sets for their epic photos/videos.
What if you could go somewhere, pay a fee, and create content to your heartās content? (Haha).
That would be pretty cool.
For example - you could create photos like this WITHOUT the friction of going to one of those studios with all the cool sets. (Who goes to those anymore, anyway?)
This is the Influence Selfie Museum in Iowa, and it has a variety of neat sets - all designed for the Perfect photo/video.
I think weāre going to see these in every state soon - and itās a fantastic business idea. Will let be a long term sustainable business? Or a fad?
You could definitely cash in on it if youāre interested in jumping on āhype trains.ā
Find an empty space, create 20 sets, market the heck out of it, and charge a reasonable amount per hour. Boom! Much cheaper than the āVR arcadesā that are hit and miss in terms of success.

šøCreate a Shopping Party
Have you ever wanted to shop together with your friends? Now you can!
The website Shoppingparty.club lets you create a communal shopping cart.
Itās super easy to use, and thereās relatively little friction.
Basically - you start a session on the site, share links with your friends, and watch as your shopping cart fills up with different items. You can upvote and downvote items.
Hereās what it looks like. As you add links (from different websites) images populate in the browser window.
Sadly, there is no chat functionality, but I imagine you could start a group call or video chat with your friends if you wanted to make it more immersive.
I think weāre going to see more sites like this - perhaps natively integrated into Amazon and others. After all, Disney Plus and Hulu are finally allowing you to create group watch parties!
Let the Social Shopping Revolution begin!
Check it out at the link.
šSkip the Dropshipped Stuff
Have you ever wondered how many of the things you buy on Amazon are simply Dropshipped items from Aliexpress or Alibaba, sold at crazy mark ups?
Well, now you can avoid them. :)
A fantastic free chrome extension called Dropskip has been created that allows you to find products on Amazon - cheaper on other sites.
Of course, you need to vet the legitimacy of the other websites, and how long it will take for the products to ship to you.
However - I think this plugin speaks to a growing awareness of Dropshipping, Aliexpress, and Alibaba.
People want to find the cheapest deals - and are sometimes willing to sacrifice the convenience of two day shipping if the price is right.
Check it out at the link - and start saving!

This is an interesting article about the slow death of the Open Web - and it really gets me thinking about how powerful Google has become in terms of the information it shows you - and doesnāt show you. The Insight browser is trying to bring back the Open Web, and itās currently available for free in Beta on IOS.
