Hope you’re doing well this colddd January.

Low 20’s - I know that’s not too cold but I still have to crack the ice in the little duck pool for our runner ducks Lucy and Leopold each morning.

We had a cold “hit” our household last week. I’m happy it wasn’t the flu, but dang it was sad when our 4-month-old son got the sniffles. :(

Note: Usually by day 4 of a cold i’m feeling better. That is NOT the case lol.

We’ve been marathoning Buffy the Vampire Slayer in the evenings. The 90’s vibes are awesome. 10/10. It makes me want to watch the entire Resident Evil and Underworld series again.

Have you seen the Hichord yet? It’s a neat little digital synthesizer. Here’s a quick little demo.

Portable digital music creation “gadgets” are really blowing up these days.

Moondrop has released some old-school headphones that are pretty neat - and they’re only $25! Insane.

Oh! don’t forget - Digg.com is out of beta and you can now join! I snagged the username “random” and started a “random” community on there.

📻 Adventures in Internet Radio

It’s been a while since I last listened to internet radio.

How about you? It’s a fun way to “mix things up” from the typical Spotify playlist or YouTube lo-fi channel.

You get creativity, curation, and the freedom to not have to worry about picking the next song or YouTube video. You just . . . listen.

Back in the “old days” when I had my PSP, I’d listen to lots of internet radio stations. It was really cool! Apparently, they still work too - if this Reddit thread is still accurate.

I REALLY need to replace my PSP screen and battery. I need to give it a try.

The last one I listened to was Nightride FM. If you like Synthwave, Darksynth, or other “Synth” subgenres, I definitely recommend checking it out.

AND we can’t forget Poolsuite FM. That’s a classic.

But what else is out there? Time for some adventuring! All you have to do is find a good site AND START CLICKING.

SERIOUSLY - there are SO MANY INTERNET RADIO STATIONS.

Waelll - how about some medieval radio over at Ancient FM?

Internet-Radio is a great place to find streams - and the sites behind them.

FORR example - let’s say you want to listen to some anime music.

I fouund this maintained yet infrequently updated “Anime Tracks” website - complete with an old school chat widget.

EDM? How about this mid 2000’s style Dance Attack website that IS frequently updated.

How about a City Pop radio station from Guadalajara? Radio.net has lots of fun radio stations to explore.

AND we can’t forget TuneIn. Lots of great stations on here - including more niche ones like nightcore. Just like Internet-Radio you can find the websites behind each radio and explore deeper.

Or - just type the following into Google.

You’ll find internet radio hosting websites you’ve never heard of.
