Find out the latest FB + IG features!

So you want to know how to find out the latest features on social media eh? Well, I’ve got some resources YOU should check out if you want to start getting ahead of the competition!

First. Follow Jane Manchum Wong on Twitter. She is a research analyst who dissects the apps of Facebook, Instagram, and other social media platforms to find out what NEW features are being tested. She’s successfully leaked dozens of their “secrets!” Think of her as a “primary source” for information. She’s the one finding out stuff and leaking it. Give her a follow! I insist. :)

Another great person to follow is Matt Navarra. He is an excellent curator of Social Media news - gathering a great deal of features and leaks from all over. I tend to pay most attention to his Twitter - his Facebook group can be annoying at times.

Last, but not least, set up Google Alerts for the topic you are interested in. This is probably the most important tip I’ve got for you. Where Jane or Matt can often tell you things months ahead of the mainstream news, Google Alert articles can often provide you with the insight and opinions that you crave. It’s a great thing to find out about new features - but what about the trends at large in the culture? When I have time to read my alert articles - I find that they give me a very good look at industry sentiment. Here’s a link that shows you how to set up your own google alerts!

Well - that’s all for today! Tune in on friday to get a look at the articles I’m reading!
