🧱Build a House Lego Style
So - you’ve always wanted to build a house. However, you want to do it yourself - but you don’t want to learn how to drywall.
Well, I’ve got a solution for you that will take you back to your youth. I found this online the other week and was instantly in love.
Basically, by using interlocking wooden bricks you can create your own home! It’s like a lincoln log and Lego mashup - but for architecture.
Seriously! Watch this video. They literally build a house - from scratch - like grownup legos.
Now - I’m not sure how electrical or plumbing fit into these. The advantage of other modular home kits is that these are often integrated into the homes. I wasn’t able to find any info on the website.
I think it’s a really cool innovation and gives a level of accessibility to many people who would love to build their own homes. I would be willing to take a stab at it someday . . . What about you?

🚫🚗 Join a Car Free Neighborhood
I believe “the suburbs” is one of the saddest housing solutions in history. You live in an often cookie-cutter neighborhood, barely know your neighbors, and drive at least 5-10 minutes to get anywhere.
I live in an apartment complex right next to a Grocery Store and other shops. I walk to them whenever I get the chance!
Don’t get me wrong. There are neighborhoods that buck this trend, and over the past 10 years new neighborhoods have sprung up that have their own ecosystem of sorts (Grocery Store, Pub, Coffee Shop, and so on).
I recently learned about Culdesac, a community being built in Tempe, Arizona. It’s being built Car Free.
Culdesac Tempe is a car-free rental apartment community in Tempe, AZ. Units are situated around enclosed courtyards that become the outdoor living rooms and center of community for Culdesac. Courtyards come with amenities like BBQ, fire pits, and hammocks. (Source)
Also - Culdesac will have its own grocery store, restaurant, coffee shop, and a space for food trucks. All within walking distance! The coolest feature is the enclosed courtyards. By their very nature, they encourage community and conversation. Meet your neighbors! I think it’s awesome.

👁Coupon Scout
I don’t have any e-commerce stores at the moment, but if I did, I’d be using Coupon Scout. Basically, this free tool lets you monitor websites for leaked coupon codes.
Do you have a favorite store? You see, browser extensions like Honey automatically scrape these codes the moment someone uses them. Once a code works, Honey adds it to its database. If you aren’t careful with your coupons, people can take your store to the bank.
For example - let’s say you made a 40% off coupon for a select group of customers. If any of them have Honey installed, Honey will see that coupon and add it to its code database. Now anyone can use that code!
That’s why it’s so important to use unique coupon codes if you run any kind of e-commerce operation. Honey will scrape master codes so anyone can use them.
HOWEVER - there is another use for this tool. You can monitor any website you want.
You can find out about their latest coupon codes - and use them to your advantage.
Maybe the site accidentally released a 25% off code that anyone can use. Well, with Coupon Scout you can find out about this code - and try to use it before it gets shut down.
Yes - this seems a bit blackhat. However, you probably search for coupon codes on Honey or other sites - What’s to say those aren’t “leaked” codes either? You never know. 🤷♂️🤷♀️
